It all starts in the design studio when a "lightbulb" goes off and an idea is born We must admit, there are certain prerequisites for the designs that actually make it to the drawing board: they must possess a positive, uplifting quality and/or put forth a sense of whimsical fun. Much time is spent in researching subject matter and sourcing materials. Drafts and redrafts are made and remade until a finished sample is born. As Thomas Edison said, "Genius is 99% perspiration." At this point, the second phase of the process begins. We are proud to carry on and support the tradition of HAND EMBROIDERY in this age of the machine. Each Cat Studio pillow one has an individual stamp or ‘signature” like one of God’s flowers or like a snow flake….not that of a machine. Our production by it’s very nature produces beautiful limited editions!
